"30 Day Challenge. Here we go." Day 1

I found this little thing on Pinterest when I was researching how to become a better blogger. I have decided that I am only going to blog once a day instead of 2. Because, let's face it, 2 times a day is sometimes really hard to think of something to say. Anywho, I am going go for The Freckled Italian's 30 Day Challenge! Hopefully this will give me more ideas as my blogging goes on ;o)

Day 1 - Tells me to discuss my current relationship...
Oh what can I say about my current status in this crazy mixed up life that we call marriage?!?!? I have been with my husband for 5 years, 6 months, and 1 day and we have been married for 2 years, 8 months, 1 week and 5 days of those five and a half years. We have had A LOT of downs and we have had A LOT of ups. In the 2 years we have been married we had a beautiful baby boy who is 1 year, 8 months old and we are currently 30 weeks and 4 days pregnant with a baby girl...who will be our last child.

Slacking and no creativity

I really wanted to blog twice a day and make sure my house is clean every day but my heart and body just haven't been into it lately. With pregnancy hitting it's third trimester, I am so fatigued and sore that I just can't do it right now... But that's just the slacking part of my life currently.
Here comes why I'm really just saying what I need to say: NO CREATIVITY!

Pampering myself

Today, I am going to pamper myself ;o) The Fly Lady says that each day you should get dressed to your shoes (and not just any shoes, LACE-UP shoes!!!). This includes your face and hair! No heels, no slippers, no slip-ons, no sandals, no shoes that are hard to work in or easy to slip off. She does this because of something she learned when working for a direct sales makeup company (which I did, too, heard the same things...I just didn't believe them until now).

Shine your sink, ladies!!!

So my goal for today was to actually shine my sink...guess what? I did it! And let me tell you, I feel like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders ;o) Now each time the kids do the dishes all they have to do is wipe it out to dry it when they are done and my sink will stay shiny forever! Okay, maybe not forever but you get the idea.

Motivated!!!

Okay, so I didn't sleep well last night because of having so much heartburn I was literally breathing fire! However, today I am feeling motivated to clean! I am a little late on my blogging because I actually took time this morning for myself to rest and gain that energy that I need to get me through today ;o)

Feeling unaccomplished...

So I know that most people lie in their blog posts and brag of things they have accomplished during the day, but I'm here to do just the opposite...

Goals for my day

So today I am going to focus on taking it one step at a time. I don't want to overwhelm myself (or make myself so tired that I can't see straight). I am spending my day "shining my sink"! I know this sounds silly but after reading page after page from The FlyLady, I feel extremely motivated and okay with taking it one day at a time.
Today is my first day of her "31 Beginner BabySteps" and she teaches me how to shine my sink. Then I will follow step 2 (Day 2) tomorrow but continue to shine my sink each day. I will build each step but continue the one learned before that.
My goals for today are as follows:
Shine my sink
Create my Control Journal
and relax!
I think while I am on my relaxing I am going to also research daily motivational quotes that I can keep in my Control Journal or some sort of binder and take time for motivating myself each morning.
I found my camera!!! Yay! So now after I shine my sink I can post a picture and show everyone what I have accomplished today ;o)

Cleaning Schedules Rule My World!!!

First things first, my kitchen is the only thing that got clean today ;oP My back started hurting, baby is sitting on a nerve somewhere low in my belly, and my round ligament pain is back...SO needless to say, not much cleaning got done today. "To err is human", right? But while I was resting I decided it was a good time to learn more about blogging and research what I promised I was going to talk about this evening...CLEANING!!!

Good morning!

As you can see, I am at my backdoor in my kitchen and it's a tad bit chilly. Today is a no makeup, messy hair kinda day ;o) I am going to try...keyword here is try...to blog each morning and each night. That way, in the mornings I can post about what I hope to accomplish each day and at night I can see if I actually accomplished it! So I think today is going to be the day (after cleaning) that I am going to share some of the blogs I found on how to become more organized in my cleaning schedule. There are so many people out there that are so much more organized than I am and I will pay credit where it is due.

Pregnancy pain sucks...

So as of right now I am 27 weeks pregnant with my 5th pregnancy but my 4th child (I had a miscarriage between pregnancies 1 and 2; well technically 1 and 3). Anyway, I have experienced heartburn through all of my pregnancies and fatigue for that matter. But with this one I can't sleep (bad), I have no weird cravings (good), no morning sickness (good), and heartburn (bad). Okay, so the no weird cravings and no morning sickness (and heartburn as mentioned before) I have had through all of my pregnancies too. But the sleep thing really sucks. Plus I have experienced round ligament pain, which isn't fun but usually stops within a few seconds after sneezing, coughing, or laughing...

What I have learned today...

I have learned that I am already falling in love with blogging because I have a lot on my mind and sometimes it's just nice to write it all out.
I have learned that my blog posts may not always be agreed with and that's okay because this is about me!
I have learned that I miss my children when they are gone or asleep because it makes the house so much quieter.
I have learned that I enjoy a quiet house despite what I said above ;oP

My first post

This is my first attempt at becoming an avid blogger. I have lots of things on my mind, lots of things I am passionate about, and lots to say! A little bit about me:
I am a mom of 6 and pregnant with number 7!!!
My oldest 3 are my stepchildren but they are mine.
I absolutely adore my husband...even though some days are harder than others ;oP
